Film screening: Whose Streets?

  • University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (George Hall Rm 301, Ah Quon Room) 2560 Campus Road Honolulu, HI, 96822 United States (map)

Co-sponsored by the Ethnic Studies Student Association, the University Students of Urban & Regional Planning, and Black Student Association. Funding provided by the UH Mānoa Student Activity & Program Fee Board.

An account of the Ferguson uprising as told by the people who lived it. The filmmakers look at how the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown inspired a community to fight back and sparked a global movement for justice. Whose Streets? is a powerful battle cry from a generation fighting, not for their civil rights, but for the right to live.
