Program Coordinator
The Pōpolo Project is seeking a dynamic, creative collaborator to join our team as we grow our community-facing programs and further our mission of redefining what it means to be Black in Hawai‘i and in the world through cultivating radical reconnection to ourselves, our community, our ancestors, and the land. To be filled by someone with a strong aptitude for collaboration and community building, this position will help weave together threads that intersect across our community and our work.
You’d be a good fit if
🌱 You are interested in and committed to learning about African diaspora cultures and histories, Hawai’i and Pacific Islands cultures and histories, and are interested in building relationships with communities in Hawaiʻi and around the world
🌱 You have experience and a passion for working with community in culture-based organizing
🌱 You like working collaboratively and feel comfortable taking creative initiative
